You Don't Have To Be A Genius But It Helps

Well, here we are. The first post of this (very unofficial) Peace Corps, Bulgaria blog. Staging's not for another 9 weeks or so, but time has a way of getting away from you, if you let it. It doesn't seem that long ago that I recieved the invitation, along with the instructions to "take care of x, y and z pieces of paperwork. Now."

I've taken care of all of the immediate paperwork, but I need to make sure I go through my belongings so I know what can be packed and what can go into storage. It's not a process to which I'm looking forward. The tedium of beaurocracy seems to do it's damndest to eliminate the wonder and awesomeness of what's happening. Despite this, life goes on, and it brings me ever closer to Philadelphia, and from there, 5000 miles away, to Bulgaria, where I'll spend the next 27 months.

I'm definitely looking forward to it though, paperwork, packing, organizing and all. Now, back to the grind of getting things done.
